Turn your Polly Tea Dress Pattern into the Cindy Dress with this in depth video tutorial! 🧵

I'll be honest, it didn't make sense to make a whole new pattern for the Cindy dress, especially when the altering part wasn't too difficult - therefore I thought maybe a tutorial would be quicker and cheaper for everyone!✨

As you will have to buy the Polly Tea and Sleeve Pack for this tutorial, I’ve set the price for the video tutorial at £1.

If you would like to contribute more (thank you!), there is a donation box at checkout however please do not feel obliged to pay more!!

Please be aware that this is a video tutorial ONLY. You will need to purchase the following patterns for this tutorial:

  • Polly Tea Dress Pattern
  • Sleeve Extension Pack (For the puff sleeve!)

ABOUT THIS TUTORIAL

Adventurous Beginner!

This tutorial is perfect for the more advanced beginner or beginner sewers wanting to learn new skills - the video has in depth instructions on how to hack the pattern and construct the final garment!

This tutorial is based on the Polly Tea Dress Pattern. Therefore you will need a  standard sized tea towel (75 x 50 cm) for the front of the Cindy dress. The tea towel pattern piece varies slightly in width for each size. Depending on the tea towel size and size of garment, you may need to trim/add to the tea towel to ensure it fits the pattern piece.

A soft woven fabric such as light to mid weight linen, cotton, rayon or woven fabric with similar drape is best for this garment.

25mm wide elastic - Your pit to pit measurements

15mm wide elastic - Cut two, the length of your upper arm measurement (for the puff sleeve)

After purchasing, a folder will instantly be downloadable. This folder includes:

  • PDF document with video link
  • Pocket bag PDF pattern
